PEACE AND GOVERNANCE- CONCERN, ISSUES AND STRATEGIES

This is a report of the national workshop on "Peace and Governance: People cry for Peace" that was organized on January 31 and February 1, 2001. The national workshop was the consolidation of the peace process that was initiated at two levels: central and local (district). The report has covered the proceedings of the workshop and has summarized the strategies that were recommended by the participants to initiate the peace process. SAP-Nepal hopes to formulate concrete actions from the strategies developed for immediate, short-term and long-term actions necessary to continue its effort in reducing conflict and restoring peace.

SHANTI RA SHUSASHAN: SHANTI STHAPANA KO AADHAR

This is a report of a workshop conducted by SAP-Nepal in different districts. The title of the workshop was "Shanti Ra Shusashan: Shanti Barta Ko Bisaya Ra Paridhi" or "Peace and Good Governance: Subject and Limitations for Peace Dialogue". The intellectuals present in the workshop presented their suggestions for a dialogue between the Government and the Maoists. This report is a compilation of the views of those present in the meeting.

SHANTI RA SUSHASAN: DIRGA SHANTI STHAPANAKO AADHAR
